Announcing the 2010 Blademaster Tournament for the 27th and 28th of March.
There will be five Blademasters in the judges circle, PC and NPC.
The location is Caemlyn, Andor, south of the Caemlyn Palace in the Inner City Plaza.
Match rules: No holds barred, the fight continues until one character is 'dead' by white PK. Every character will be stripped of weaves, and no herbs or affects outside of the character's own skills may be used in the duration. This includes channelers. Channeling contestants may only seize or embrace the source, though this action will be noted by anyone able to see it in the audience. Identical, two-handed weapons will be issued by an immortal or arbitrating NPC. Each character will fight at least two rounds. Loss of both rounds ends tournament participation. The combat wins are tiered and not point based; that is, the number of wins does not override the outcome of the final match. Fleeing contestants, if any, need to immediately return to the room. Gaidin cloak skill will not be used in combat.
IC requirements: Reasonable RP posted on the forum or in game that shows progress from the current location to the tournament. If the character is already in the location, then the RP must show motivation or events leading up to decision to attend. These requirements have been met by the current participants, a total of nine characters.
OOC requirements: Blademaster flag, which is given for having 100% in the skills in the blademaster group (info blademaster). Characters need to be allied with Caemlyn or sufficiently disguised to safely compete.
The contestants will be Blademasters, but we hope to see all players there in various capacities.
As of now, Saturday's rounds will be held after 5pm EST. It is an estimated start time, please arrive early. Once all the contestants arrive, there is still preparation time needed. Sunday's rounds will take place early afternoon to accommodate those who cannot rise early and those who cannot stay late, possibly beginning around 1pm EST.
OOC notes:
The IC judges are not judging the competition. The winners will be determined OOCly by immortals. Therefore, a player in the judges' circle may have an alt in the competition.
You will have a limited time to emote during match times. Use the time efficiently or plan your emotes ahead of time. Do not spam the competitions with planned emotes. If you think you are riding the edges of discretion, cut your emote to well within reason. Each match will require attention with few distractions.
If a player cheats during the course of a match, that player will be removed from the Tournament rounds. It will be the immortals' decision whether the actions have IC or merely OOC consequences (though these may coincide).
VERY IMPORTANT --KEEP OOC CHATTER OFF LOCAL CHANNELS. Use OOC, tells, gdt. Do not use osay, triggers (except for contestants about to fight to maintain regen for combat) or Semirhage Will Eat You. |
